The DIY Spy Store G-Track GSM Tracker

The G-TRACK uses the very latest GSM technology and can be covertly hidden either under a vehicle with the powerful magnets supplied and powered via its own internal batteries or it can be installed in the vehicle and powered via the cars 12-volt power supply. This offers a unique advantage over GPS based trackers, because G-TRACK doesn’t need to have clear line of sight to a satellite, so therefore can be hidden almost anywhere in the vehicle and powered permanently via the vehicles own 12-volt power supply.

If installed in the vehicle an optional microphone can be attached, allowing you to dial in to the device from anywhere in the world and hear everything, which is being said and done in the vehicle, without the occupant’s knowledge.

G-TRACK is not as accurate as GPS based trackers but it will still locate a vehicle anywhere in the UK, to within 100 metres (approx) in a built up city, but this may increase to as much as a 200 or 300 metre radius in more rural areas, with fewer masts. The location is provided by way of a time-stamped zoom in/out map (see example picture to the right) plus a short description of the whereabouts of the tracker.

To enable you to physically track G-TRACK you will require a PC with Internet connection and the mobile number of the sim card installed in it. The tracking facility is provided by a third party, but don’t worry registration is free, there are no subscription or annual fees, and the only on going costs you will incur start from 17p per search on a Pay-As-You-Go bases . G-TRACK runs off 3 AA size batteries, which are fitted within the weatherproof unit itself. Battery life is approximately 1 – 2 weeks, depending on how often you dial in to the unit.

G-TRACK is exceptionally small, measuring only 82mm X 64mm X 32mm (excluding small flange, which has screw hole mountings, that can be used as an alternative to the powerful magnets supplied).
